US men's soccer team Concacaf Nations League semifinal vs. Jamaica: How to watch, rosters
View Date:2025-01-11 01:07:43
The U.S. men's national soccer team takes aim at a third consecutive Concacaf Nations League title, starting with a semifinal showdown with Jamaica on Thursday night.
The winner will advance to Sunday's final and play the winner of the other semifinal between Mexico and Panama.
The USMNT has won both editions of the Concacaf Nations League in 2021 and 2023.
USMNT coach Gregg Berhalter is hoping to use these games (if the U.S. were to lose Thursday night, it still gets to play in a third-place match) as a springboard for this summer's Copa America, which will be held in the U.S. from June 20 to July 14. The USMNT has been drawn into a group with Bolivia, Panama and Uruguay for that competition.
"The objective ahead of us is clear. We want to compete for our third Nations League title and continue to challenge ourselves to succeed in knockout round matches,” Berhalter said.
On Thursday, the U.S. will face a Jamaica squad that is shorthanded. Star striker Michail Antonio — who plays for West Ham United in the English Premier League — withdrew from the squad. Winger Leon Bailey — who plays for Aston Villa in the Premier League — was suspended for missing curfew.
Here's everything you need to know for Thursday's match:
When and where is the USMNT-Jamaica Nations League semifinal?
Kickoff is slated for 7 p.m. ET on Thursday, March 21 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington Texas, home of the NFL's Dallas Cowboys.
The Panama-Mexico game follows the USMNT-Jamaica semifinal, kicking off at approximately 10:15 p.m. ET in the same stadium.
How can I watch the USMNT's Concacaf Nations League semifinal vs. Jamaica?
The English-language broadcast will be available on Paramount+, with the Spanish-language broadcast available on Univision. Streaming also is available on fubo.
